RKL will also take care of chiptuning for your car. We will optimise your ENGINE CONTROL UNIT that controls the various parts. The optimisation is carried out by adapting the programmed data in the ENGINE CONTROL UNIT. The things that are adjusted in the ECU are: injection time, ignition time, injection volume, etc.

European brands often use a motor management system that allows reprogramming the processors in the ENGINE CONTROL UNIT with the optimised data. The Asian brands are fitted with other systems that do not allow reprogramming of the memory unit.

The capacity gain that is obtained by chiptuning may amount to 30 percent, depending on the fact whether the motor is atmospheric or blown The torque may increase to 40%, which will evidently differ depending on the type of motorcar. The largest gain is to be obtained in a blown motor, in which the directly injected turbo-diesel often shows the highest torque increase.
